Bio

Mo is a keyboard player and songwriter who has performed in the Boston area for over 12 years. Most recently, he organized and performed a one-off concert on 12/15/07 at the Lily Pad featuring a mix of covers and originals with vocalists Susannah Horwitz and Patrick Dorion, drummer John Kerr, and bassist Greg Martin.

From 2004 to 2006 he was as a member of the 14-piece funk/disco cover band Booty Vortex where he had the pleasure of playing numerous sold-out shows at Johnny Ds as well as weddings, parties, and other gigs in metro Boston.

Prior to that, he was bandleader and songwriter for Fragile Alex, a piano-pop quartet which he assembled in the spring of 2003, featuring cello, vocals, and drums/percussion. The Boston Globe lauded the "sweet, lovely songs" while the group played from Greenfield to the Cape to New York and Philly. They hit some colleges, received local airplay (including making the Noise's Top 30 radio chart in March 2004), and played outdoor shows like the SoNo Arts Fest (South Norwalk, CT).

Earlier bands include the five-piece Schrodinger's Cat, his initial endeavor, followed by Chalk Circle, at first a duo and later a trio and quartet that played local bars and coffee houses. He also played in the fusion band Fikus and has done occasional session work.
